What's Wellageing?

It is my honor to introduce our Research Institute of Science for the Better Living of the Elderly. Our Institute pursues to improve the quality of the life of the elderly in rapidly changing social transitions of informatization and ageing.
We've announced various thesis and theories as well as nationally and internationally conducted practical researches. Especially, we have designed Prevention Programs for Elder Abuse, Cyber Neighbor Program for the active informatization of the elderly, Cyber Family Program showing practices concrete intergeneration, Re-Designing of the Elderly Program, Longlife Education Program are our main practices for designing for the elderly. These have attracted interests of the U.S.A, China, Japan and we interchanged information with those nations. In 2005, we were awarded the 17th President Rewards from Government for efforts to develop informatization for old persons and we work hard for the dissemination of the new digital filial piety culture, the social unity of the elderly, the R&D and exercise in the consolidation of capability of the elderly against any elder seclusion and abuse.
We developed Cyber Family as the space to truly understand the elderly. It is creating a new intergeneration program to create social filial piety and the positive image of old people. We seek to turn our society into the space for love and sympathy toward the seniors through the contents on the seniors and the family, the seniors and the adolescents, the seniors themselves.
We're creating a new ageing with digital technology, so that the cyber space will be filled with humanism through warm communication between the adolescents and the seniors. We’ll not leave the seniors in isolation, loneliness and helplessness anymore. Digital technology will help the old people to be empowered to adjust themselves in later life.
Also, we're developing more concrete programs to improve the quality of life in old age.

Please continue your valuable participation as well as keen interest in creating the Wellageing World. Thank you.
